When trying to photograph a scene for the word
'fall' decided to use a model to lay on the ground flat to suggest that she has fallen - furthermore I have used a long (tall) space above her (sky) to further emphasise that she may heave fell. To play around with this image further I have decided to turn the photograph upside down so that it appears the girl is about to fall of the surface (floor - Celine) because the way gravity works for all living things our eyes are drawn to the space below the girl and the facts of science and gravity. I really like both images because they tell two different stories. One tells the audience of after the fall and the other before it has happened. Because falling is such a feared experience I feel that these images generates mixed emotions within me.

Jump
This photograph shows the scene 'jump.' The best way I think to display a jump would be to show an object or person between two spaces (above and below) however I found this difficult to do - furthermore I actually preferred this close up of the floating feet because it draws the views eyes to the space below the model. In addition this image is subtle because you cannot see that the feet are in the air until pay attention and look closely. One thing I'm not sure if I like is that this photograph is very 'still' even though a jump should capture movement it feels really frozen - however this is very intriguing because of this reason. Overall I feel that a close up of the feet really highlights the jump.

Crush
Above I have used composition in order to portray the word 'crush.' To do this I have decided to turn the shot upside down once more so that it appears that the rocks are falling onto the model. The thick layer of rocks take over half the shot and therefore generates a 'crushing feeling' they are literally condensing the frame. Furthermore the barrier that is holding the girl back also seems to play big part of holding her back (crushing.) because there is so much within this one frame it produces a 'heavy' and 'claustrophobic' feel as there is little room to escape the subjects within this one shot.

Echo
I took this photograph to represent 'echo' - I took this shot because of the large space around this girl - I feel that this large area pours from the girl because of her standing pose (arms out large than lower half of body) our eyes travel up to this space and we echo. Furthermore there are other elements within this photograph that may also denote echo such as her shadow that makes it out of the shot (suggesting a echo of the human body - never-ending because it continues out of the frame.) Other features such as the reflection from the sun and the direction of the grey path the model is standing on give this impression further.

Happy
Happy was the most difficult to photograph for me personally because there can be so many different things that can make a person happy and the layout of the image can change depending on the subject. I'm not sure if this image displays happiness however ii like the layers within this photograph the light in the foreground which shows a hand directing the viewers eyes up to a girl jumping in the back - personally this image makes me feel happy. This photograph is my least favourite.

Sad
Lastly this image depict sadness. I think that this achieved this emotion very well since it has a wide shot that shows the emptiness of the area (hence the girls loneliness.) Furthermore it means we can see her entire body compare to the large tree which makes her small in the frame (emotionally.) In addition the tones in the frame are made up of blues and greys which emphasis the sad tones from this photograph. Overall I think that this photograph works especially well because it has a good narrative which can be read easily.
